UGC Adviser Update

We wish to inform clients that, as of 7 December 2023, UGC Financial Advisor, Mr Stephen Rogers (AR: 1270284), is no longer serving as a financial adviser as a result of a decision of the Financial Services and Credit Panel (FSCP) to issue a two year banning order.

Mr. Rogers does not agree with the FSCP’s decision and, in particular, rejects the inference of a cold calling superannuation switching business model or inducing inappropriate superannuation switching and has lodged an appeal of the FSCP decision with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.  Mr Rogers will continue as an employee of UGC in a non-advisory capacity.

For further information on this matter you can review the ASIC media release regarding the Financial Services and Credit Panel’s decision referred above, 23-335MR, Financial Services and Credit Panel issues registration prohibition order against financial adviser

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the FSCP decision, or your experience with Mr Rogers with respect to your own circumstances, you can call our office on 03 8657 7640 or email compliance@ugc.net.au
