The episodes begins with a controversial lawsuit filed by a 23-year old gentleman called Mark McVeigh. He is suing the $50 billion super fund REST superannuation as he believes that they are not doing enough in their investing strategy to gear against climate change. Joel, Louis and Brett weighs in a on whether investing in environmental funds will affect the behavior of companies involved in pollution.

  • Market Update: Tesla share price closed at $640 last night from a price of around $180 this time last year. Using Tesla as an example Joel explains how they were able to soar in the stock market and whether they will be able to continue this momentum moving forward. Furthermore, with Brexit formalised and the Coronavirus increasingly prevalent in the headlines we are starting to see a correction in the market. Joel gives us insight on what the outcome from this correction would be and what to do during this sell off.
  • Real Estate Update: Continuing on the subject of climate change, Brett talks about the impact that these bushfires would have to median house priors in the affected regions. He utilises historical data and current data to forecast these impacts and gives us an idea of what to expect in the near future.
  • Personal Wealth: Austria has just elected the youngest country leader in the world, Sebastian Kurz. He will be commencing his role as the Chancellor of Austria at the young age of 33 years old. In recent times we are seeing a prevalence of young country leaders and people who achieve success early on in life. Louis dissects this phenomenon by talking about the advantages they have and the common traits that these successful people share.
